The Oxford Elara Ceiling hoist is the replacement for the now discontinued Oxford Voyager 420. The Elara overhead ceiling lift is designed with the patient and caregiver in mind and is the perfect addition to your Track System.
About the Oxford Elara
The Oxford Elara is compatible with current Oxford Overhead Track Systems including ‘H systems’ and ‘XY Systems’. Like its predecessor the Voyager 420, the Elara is available with different SWL (Safe Working Load) configurations. The Elara can also be purchased as a 2-way* or 4-way** ceiling lift.
Features of the Oxford Elara
The Oxford Elara a range of features designed to aid in hoisting situations.
Unique Elara Chauffeur: This feature is prominent on the 4-way Elara Versions. The Chauffeur feature allows the ceiling hoist to traverse the track rail.
Extensive Lifting Range: The Elara has a lifting range of 2200 mm, allowing the transfer of patients from the floor to high surfaces and vice versa
Quick Release Spreader Bar: The Spreader bar is designed to quickly disconnect via a ‘safe quick-release mechanism’
Backlit LCD Screen: The Elara has a large backlit LCD screen that displays diagnostics like safety warnings and Smart Monitor diagnostics
Power Save / Sleep Mode: After a short period of activity, the Elara automatically goes into sleep mode, conserving battery
Durable Hand Control: The Handset is rated to IPX4 and is protected from splashing water
Safety Systems: The Elara has emergency stop/lower functions providing extra safety when hoisting a patient
Variations of the Elara
The Oxford Elara is available in two configurations, the Elara 227 and Elara 284:
Elara 227: This model, available as a 2-way* or 4-way** ceiling hoist allows you to choose your SWL. The SWL’s available to pick are 100kg, 150 kg, 200 kg and 227 kg
Elara 284: This model, available as a 2-way* or 4-way** ceiling hoist has a higher SWL of 284 kg
Whats the difference between a 2-way and 4-way ceiling hoist?
*2-way: This Elara model can lift the patient Up/Down
**4-way: The Elara model can lift the patient Up/Down AND traverse Left/Right across track
